Quote of the week:
Anything you do to work on jumping will make you more explosive and that will make you faster. Start by (video) jumping rope everyday. First get in 100 jumps then take a water break. Then try to do as many (video) double unders as you can in a row until you fail. You might get 8 or 17 but each day keep after it until you can do 100 double unders in row. Coach Tom Shaw has coached 94 NFL first round draft picks, the last 6 Super Bowl MVP's and is the New England Patriots speed coach.

Welcome to Kansas prep football coaches, players, fans, parents, media and all others interested in Kansas high school football. Participation by you is what is going to make this website a fun place to visit. During the football season we need you to send us your high school score on Friday nights. We need you to tell other football fans about this site. If everyone will share their Friday night score with us we will get it on the web and then you will know how your next opponent did or your district rival.......................We also think our schedules page with each weeks scores will be a great help and time saver for fans and coaches..........................I of course will be at football games just like you and sometimes will not arrive home until very late, so sometimes the scores will not be posted until Saturday or Sunday depending on if I have any scores to post.................................For the past 20 years I have been radio broadcasting high school football games for KSKL 94.5 FM Scott City and Garden City. I have been keeping track of schedules and scores for every  team in the state of Kansas in class 4A during that time. My thought was to just expand that to every team in the state and then share the information with you.
We hope you enjoy it!

Many times ones efforts go unappreciated, but know that many people, or at least in our community, use your magazine and website as the topic of information and discussion, so for that I tell you on behalf of Liberal, and my family thank you to you and your staff so very much for all of your time and efforts.

Just wanted to let you know Andy Fewin is the new head football coach at Oswego this season. He replaces Mark Coomes. Also you guys do a great job and we use your website all the time. Could you put links to our websites on the Radio and TV part of the website page? We’ll have a lot of highlights from here in southeast Kansas during the season.

Thank you,

Please send me an email with the outcome of this weeks 'Game of the Week', Oakley vs Smith Center (or is there a place to listen to the game). Thanks Ralph Johnson a 70 year old kid who enjoys HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL stories of the LITTLE GUYS. The internet is a great thing, for if it wasn't for it I would not be able to listen. I'm 90 miles straight west of Chicago, in the middle of corn fields. Thanks again.

I just wanted you guys to know that I have our website back up and running.  The new site address is www.broncsfootball.com  I will try to have stats, pictures, and video on our site by Monday afternoons but I make no promises.  Stats will be my priority though.  Feel free to use any pictures that you find on our site as long as it is in good taste and for the good of the athletes.  I know that I don't have to mention that with you guys as you do a great job and have been an asset for players throughout the state, but particularly in rural and western Kansas where the kids get very little press.  I have really enjoyed your site for the past few years.
Thanks again for all that you guys do.

I just want to give a HUGE thank you for the GREAT high school football website.  I check it everyday during the season to see the new updates.  I think your coverage is great, covering the majority of the state.  I know it all depends on the help you get from others in the state.  Thanks again from up here in Smith Center, I and all my co-workers REALLY appreciate it.

I wanted to let you know that I enjoy your website for a couple of reasons.  First, the amount of continually updated information makes your site a one-stop destination for accurate Kansas Prep Football news.  Second, I appreciate your honest and informed comments.  You stick to the facts, provide positive feedback, and promote Kansas High School football.

As a football official I like your site in that I can research the teams whose game I am working each week.  I can see how they have played against other teams I may have seen and get an idea of what to expect. This season I have noticed that St. James Academy was not able to field a team in 4A.  The official score of an unplayed forfeited game is not 2-0, as is commonly thought, but 1-0.  2-0 is a score possible to attain so they don't use that score while 1-0 is impossible and thus indicates a forfeit. Under rule 8-1 there is a table covering point values for different actions. Just for your information.  Again thanks for your site.
The anonymous Kansas football official
Tims note: We are fortunate that young men want to stay involved in the game of football and be close to the action. I appreciate your efforts each and every Friday night and thank you for your dedication to the game!

As you may remember, I coached in Tribune for a number of years,
until we finally won the State Championship in 1998.  Anyway, my wife
still has family there and they sent us a copy of "Kansas Pregame".
I am enjoying it very much.
Great Job!

First off, congrats for what, in my opinion, is easily the most
informative site on the web for Kansas High School football. I can't
count the number of times I've accessed your site for information and
scores on what's happening elsewhere in the state during the past
season. Kudos to yourself and anyone else connected with this endeavor.

Tim,
I have heard of  kansasprepfootball.com and think it’s awesome.

I first of all wanted to start off by saying that KansasPrepFootball.com is a very good and structured site. My staff and I refer to it quite a bit in checking information on other schools and information that is not always easy to access in other places.   If there is anything else I can do to help let me know.

Hi,

You have a follower from the other side of the world. I am a former Great Bend resident living in Changzhou, China and I refer to your website regularly. Thanks for showing such profound interest in Kansas Prep sports. I produced CD Roms entitled, "The History of Liberal Redskin Football" and "The History of Great Bend High School Football" in 1999. I am a high school football fanatic and I graduated from Great Bend in 1977. I have attached a photo plucked from the Great Bend Tribune website showing the celebration following last week's win over Liberal. Great Bend has finally broken the 15 year hammerlock that Liberal has held over Western Kansas (and in a big way, 56-13). Their program has risen from the depths under Coach Black and next week they take on Salina South to decide who will represent Western Kansas against the dreaded foe from the East. I can't think of two more deserving programs! I have kept abreast of the developments in Kansas prep football through the Internet, which is flourishing in China. Oh, how our world has changed. My Chinese friend don't understand my interest in these matters, then again, they don't understand the BCS, either. Nor do I.

Hey Tim!
Congratulations on the Web site.   All I want to say is this:  Remember when we were at Ulysses, I was an assistant for Scott City at the time, and you smacked a bee with a phone book and shattered their press box window?!  Now that's a memory I'll never forget!!
